Dr. Krista Fisher PhD

Dr. Krista Fisher is a Research Fellow at the Movember Institute and has a PhD in young men’s mental health awarded from the University of Melbourne in 2024. Krista leads a program of research on online masculinities - exploring the ways social media influences young men’s mental health and their gender ideologies. Krista knows first-hand that the mental ill-health of young men can have significant ramifications on those around them. Therefore, she advocates for a community-wide approach in research and intervention development to address the complex mental health challenges faced by young men today. This approach ensures that the benefits of mentally healthy young men extend far beyond young men themselves.
